The Doukhobors, a small community of Spiritual Christians originally from Russia, were exiled to Georgia in the 1840s by order of Tsar Nicholas I due to persecution for their beliefs. Rejecting Orthodox rituals, they have maintained their traditions and rituals in exile.
Dasha, the youngest member of this community, embodies their hope to preserve these practices for future generations. ‘Dasha,’ meaning ‘gift of God,’ symbolizes this continuity and promise.
