Midnight's Muse
The moon represents a motherly figure symbolizing protection and care.; For me, as a night owl, the only companion of my waking nights. However, after moving to the Netherlands, where the skies are often overcast, I felt like I had lost my lighthouse.
I playfully chase the moon with my camera to capture her alluring face through windows, among the foliage, or trapped in mirror. Each time I see the moon, I find myself falling in love with her all over again like the early days of love.
Full statement
“In my hallucination
I saw my Beloved’s flower garden
In my vertigo, in my dizziness
In my drunken haze
whirling and dancing like a spinning wheel
I saw myself as the source of existence
I was there in the beginning
And I was the spirit of love
Now I am sober
there is only the hangover
and the memory of love
and only the sorrow.”
